Cattleman
There is a bond between a cattleman and his livestock that is difficult to explain. Making a living raising live animals requires an involvement unlike other occupations. The rancher will work long hours in miserable conditions with little pay in caring for his herd. The cowboys horse is mostly left out of this piece as I am focused on the relationship between the man and his calf. That is the reason for the special connection between the cowboys right arm and the calfs left leg. The calf is perplexed but not scared as he is in good hands. I believe it is this mans spirit that God had in mind when he wrote ...know well the condition of your flocks, and pay attention to your herds.
